Srinagar: The Kashmir Valley continues to reel under a biting cold wave, with most areas recording sub-zero temperatures.

According to data compiled by Kashmir Weather, as accessed by (JKNS) reads, Zojila recorded the lowest temperature at -19°C, followed by Shopian at -4.5°C and Pahalgam and Bandipora at -4.3°C each.

It reads as, in Srinagar, the mercury dropped to -2.0°C, while Gulmarg and Kupwara registered -3.6°C. Other notable lows included Larnoo at -3.9°C and Pulwama at -3.0°C.

“In Jammu, Banihal dipped below freezing at -0.4°C, while Jammu city recorded a relatively mild 8.1°C. Padder witnessed a harsh -7.2°C, and Samba saw a minimum of 4.2°C,” the data reads.

“In Ladakh, Leh experienced a bone-chilling -9.6°C, with temperatures in Kargil and Drass not available at the time of reporting. The cold wave is expected to persist, with residents advised to take precautions to stay warm,” it reads further.—(JKNS)
