Srinagar: The Meteorological Department has issued a weather forecast for Jammu and Kashmir, predicting generally dry weather for most days, with light rain and snow expected in isolated areas.

The forecast details, as shared by the Meteorological Center (MeT) and accessed by the news agency (JKNS), indicate generally dry weather across the region on December 7.

Similarly, on December 8-9, cloudy skies with light rain are expected over some plains and hilly areas of the Jammu Division. In the Kashmir Division, light rain or snow is anticipated in the higher reaches during the late evening of December 8 and the forenoon of December 9.

The report further mentions that dry weather is expected on December 10-11, while December 12 will bring generally cloudy conditions with light snow in isolated higher reaches. From December 13-17, dry weather will prevail across the Union Territory.

The department advises tourists, travelers, and transporters to adhere to administrative and traffic guidelines to ensure safety during the forecasted weather changes. —(JKNS)
