Police said the attached properties include five houses belonging to individuals involved in multiple narcotics-related cases.

Among them is a single-story house owned by Reyaz Ahmad Dar of Hassanpora Tawella, and a double-story house belonging to Mohammad Yousuf Reshi, linked to a major narcotics recovery case. Other properties attached include houses owned by Subzar Ahmad Mir of Hassanpora Tawella, Mohammad Shafi Dar of Tulkhan Bijbehara, and Abdul Hamid Chopan of Malpora Ranipora, a habitual offender.

Police said three vehicles were also confiscated which included a Santro car owned by Mohammad Shafi Dar, a WagonR owned by Manzoor Ahmad Mantoo of Waghama Bijbehara, and a Toyota Corolla registered to Rahul Singh of New Delhi.

“These proactive measures reflect Anantnag Police’s commitment to dismantling drug trafficking networks and ensuring that those involved in such crimes face stringent legal consequences. By targeting the properties and assets of offenders, the police aim to deter further illegal activities and disrupt the financial backbone of drug networks,” the statement said.

The police have called upon the public to support their mission to create a drug-free society and reaffirmed their commitment to eradicating the narcotics threat from the region.
