Srinagar: Two non-local labourers died, while another was injured after they came under a landslide at Ichgam area of Budgam district on Monday, officials said.
Chief Medical Officer (CMO) Budgam, Dr Ayoub said that the labourers were working at the site of a ring road project when the incident occurred.
He said soon after the incident happened, the administration along with locals started the major rescue operation and pulled out all three labourers, of whom two succumbed to their injuries.
He said that the injured has been shifted to Bone and joint hospital Barzulla Srinagar from district hospital Budgam for advanced treatment. He identified the deceased as Kishori Lal Paswan (39) and Satinder Paswan (40) and the injured as Bachan lal Paswan(40) all residents of Bihar.
Meanwhile, police have taken cognizance of the incident and have started further investigation in this regard
