Srinagar: An unidentified terrorist has been killed in an ongoing gunfight in Dachigam forest area in Srinagar district.
An official told news agency JKNS that a terrorist was killed after contact was established on Monday late night.
“The identity of the slain terrorist is yet to be ascertained,” the official said, adding, “the operation continues in the area to rule out escaping of any other terrorist from the site.”
It is worth mentioning here that the encounter broke out on Monday late night after security forces launched a cordon-and-search-operation in Dachigam area of Harwan in the periphery of Srinagar city. (JKNS)
