Army Comes to the Rescue: Fire Contained in Ibkot Village

Karnah: In a heartwarming example of courage, collaboration, and humanity, the Indian Army joined hands with local residents to combat a devastating fire in the border village of Ibkot, located in Karnah Tehsil. The fire, triggered by an electrical short circuit, engulfed two houses before being brought under control.

The swift response of the Indian Army’s Shakti Vijay Brigade, along with the resolute efforts of local villagers, ensured that the fire did not spread further, preventing a larger catastrophe. Despite the loss of two homes, the timely intervention saved many more properties and lives from potential disaster.

As part of their ongoing humanitarian mission, the Indian Army provided essential ration supplies and administrative assistance to the affected families, offering much-needed relief and support during this difficult time.

“The bravery and solidarity displayed today are a testament to the indomitable spirit of the residents of Karnah and the unwavering commitment of the Indian Army to protect and serve,” said a local resident, expressing gratitude for the Army’s efforts.

This joint effort underscores the enduring bond between the Indian Army and the communities they safeguard. Both remain steadfast in their resolve to tackle challenges and rebuild lives, exemplifying resilience and unity in the face of adversity.

Civil administration and PHE department later also sent a water tanker but it was only after the fire had engulfed the houses .
Furthermore, though the fire ambulance reached the spot but it was without any water to extinguish the fire. Ex sarpanch of the concerned halqa abdul Rashid underlined the efforts of the Indian army and PHE department,but came down heavily on the concerned fire service department.
