SRINAGAR:- In order to ensure timely completion of verification and scanning of revenue related records in District, the Deputy Commissioner (DC) Srinagar, Dr Bilal Mohi-Ud-Din Bhat today undertook visit of District Record Room and Central Record Room Complex Bemina.

During the visit, the Deputy Commissioner was accompanied by Regional Director Survey & Land Records, Nazir Ahmad Khawja, Additional Deputy Commissioner, Khalid Hussain Malik, Assistant Commissioner Revenue,  Aijaz Ahmad Shah, Tehsildar South, Sajad Rasool Shah and other field functionaries of Revenue Department.

On the occasion, the Deputy Commissioner inspected the progress of verification and scanning of revenue records under implementation of Land Records Modernization Programme.

The DC was informed that the process with regard to scanning, preservation of revenue documents, data entry of latest Jamabandi and updation with latest mutation records besides digitization of maps with latest data is going on at a fast pace.

While interacting with the Revenue functionaries, the DC stressed them to complete the task of digitization of records in a time bound manner to ensure better land record management, minimize land disputes and enhance the overall land record maintenance system in the District.

The DC exhorted upon the Officers to adhere to the timeline of settlement targets and contribute in the preparation of reliable revenue records.
