New Delhi: Taking serious note of the increasing incidents of violence in Manipur, the Union Home Ministry on Saturday directed the security forces to take necessary steps to maintain law and order and take strict action against the miscreants.

In a statement, the Ministry of Home Affairs said that the security scenario in Manipur has remained fragile for the past few days. Armed miscreants from both communities in conflict have been indulging in violence leading to unfortunate loss of lives and disruption in public order.
