The PDP has three members in the J&K Assembly.

Para won the recent Assembly Elections from Pulwama.

Beg, with a distinguished background as a parliamentarian and legislator has invaluable expertise and a deep understanding of the unique challenges faced by Jammu and Kashmir.

His extensive experience and dedication to public service will be instrumental in conveying the PDP’s vision and commitment to the region’s people, a party statement said.

The party also appointed MLA Rafiq Ahmed Naik as Deputy Leader, while MLA Kupwara, Mir Mohammad Fayaz, will serve as the Chief Whip, ensuring unity and direction within the party’s legislative team.

The PDP leaders also appreciated the efforts of their legislators during the recent Assembly session, where they voiced public concerns and sentiments within the house.

During the meeting, major focus was put on the hardships faced by the youth of Jammu and Kashmir.

With unemployment levels soaring and reservation policies affecting countless young lives, the PDP leadership expressed their concern for the struggles young people are enduring.

The leaders called for a more fair and balanced reservation policy, one that provides deserving candidates with opportunities to build secure and meaningful careers.

Mufti emphasized that the PDP would remain committed to advocating for these changes, supporting the younger generation’s aspirations, and working to create a brighter future for all.
