Karnah: The SRTC bus service, which began last year connecting Karnah to Srinagar, faced a significant challenge today as snowfall caused the bus to get stuck at Khooni Nallah, leaving many children and elderly passengers stranded. As the snow intensified, army personnel transferred passengers to the Sadhna Top shelter, where they provided warmth with traditional Bukharis, offering relief from the cold for the stranded passengers. The timely response by the Indian Army displayed remarkable coordination and commitment to passenger safety in these high-altitude, remote areas.

MLA Karnah, Javed Mirchal, played a crucial role in coordinating efforts, intervening promptly to assist in the operation. His timely involvement, alongside the Indian Army’s efficient rescue efforts, ensured the well-being of all passengers, showcasing strong civil-military cooperation in handling this emergency.
