DDC Shopian takes stock of under construction work of Loktipora Bridge

SHOPIAN, NOVEMBER 06: The District Development Commissioner (DDC) Shopian, Mohammad Shahid Saleem Dar today inspected the construction work of the Loktipora bridge, a 1×48 meter span jeepable bridge connecting Shopian with Anantnag, under execution of R&B Division, Zainapora.

The project, sanctioned at a cost of 326.30 lakhs, began in March 2022 and is expected to be completed by ending November 2024.

During the inspection, the DDC reviewed the progress of the work and emphasized the need for speedy completion.

This bridge will significantly improve connectivity and facilitate transportation in the area

This inspection is part of the administration’s efforts to monitor and accelerate development projects, ensuring timely completion and benefit to the local community.

The DDC was accompanied by ADDC, Dr. Nasir Ahmad Lone; ACR, Ex. Engineer, DIO and other concerned officers and officials.
