SHOPIAN, NOVEMBER 05: The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Shopian, Mohammad Shahid Saleem Dar today presided over an orientation programme on National Education Policy (NEP), 2020 at Mini Secretariat, Shopian.

The orientation programme was facilitated by the Chief Education office, Shopian and was attended by ZEOs, Principals and Headmasters.

At the outset, Chief Education Officer (CEO) Shopian through power point presentation deliberated on key features of policy including teaching pedagogy, innovative ideas, equitable access, learn how to learn, use of teaching methods, etc.

The speakers laid emphasis on the role of school education Administrators in the Policy for improvement in the learning teaching outcomes.

The DC addressed the gathering, expressed the need for better education outcomes by prioritising right, specific and apt teaching pedagogy in combination with available teaching experience.

The education should select, nourish and foster the innate talents of students for harnessing capabilities to accomplish personal and professional heights in their careers, DC stressed while discussing the Policy.

He highlighted the objectives of policy and asked for proper reading and implementation of policy strictly.

Dy.CEO, DIO and other concerned officers and officials were also present in the event.
