During the meeting, the MLA conducted a comprehensive review of the overall developmental progress within the constituency. The officers presented an overview of department-wise activities, as well as the development and welfare initiatives currently being undertaken in the Sopore Constituency.

The MLA assessed various developmental issues pertaining to road connectivity, water supply concerns, health sector initiatives and upgrades, school education, accelerating the irrigation canal network, rural development, horticulture, agriculture works and schemes, and other matters of public importance.

In relation to the health sector, the MLA issued strict directives to the Block Medical Officer (BMO) to ensure that all available facilities at the Primary Health Centre (PHC) in Sopore are initiated for the benefit of the larger public.

The MLA also reviewed ongoing work projects being implemented by the Roads & Buildings (R&B) Department and other executing agencies. He requested the prompt compilation and submission of Detailed Project Reports (DPRs) to ensure the timely commencement of newly initiated works.

Emphasizing the importance of cleanliness, he instructed the officers from the Municipal Committee (MC) Sopore to upgrade sanitation facilities for improved hygiene.

The MLA stated, “I am elected by the people, and the officers present here are working for the people, so let us coordinate our efforts to provide the best for the community.”

He emphasized the need for a compassionate approach in addressing the issues of marginalized communities and ensuring that welfare schemes reach the most vulnerable residents. He urged officials to extend the benefits of welfare programs to those engaged in the unorganized sectors by implementing Labour and Employment schemes.
