Samba, October 29: Police has arrested accused persons involved in the theft of a Batteries in the jurisdiction of Police Station Bari Brahmana and recovered stolen batteries from their possession.

On 09.10.2024, a written report was lodged at Police Station Bari Brahmana regarding theft of 05 Tower batteries worth lakhs from JIO Tower site opposite Army canteen, Bari Brahmana.

Acting over the complaint, a case FIR No. 131/2024 U/S 303 (2) BNS was registered at PS Bari Brahmana and investigation was started.

During the course of investigation, ASP SDPO Bari Brahmana constituted a team headed by SHO PS Bari Brahmana and during search police arrested the 6 accused persons namely. Sourav @ DK s/o Daohi Ram R/O Khatik Mohalla, Rajasthan A/P Telli Basti, Bari Brahmana,

 

Mohd Aslam Shiekh @ Juley s/o Mohd Abdul shiekh R/O Mednipur, West Bengal A/PTeli Basti Bari Brahmana,

 

Aman Malik @ shezad s/o Subhan Malik r/o UP A/P Makkah Masjid Baithandi Jammu,

 

Mohd Ali shiekh S/O Shamus ud din shiekh R/O west Bangalore A/P Soura srinagar

 

Mohd Abdul shiekh S/O Mohd Roubel hiekh R/O west Bangal A/P Teli Basti Bari Brahmana and

 

Mohd Milan Shiekh s/o Mohd Noor ul islam R/O West Bengal A/P Telli Basti Bari Brahmana

and recovered 06 Batteries from their possession. Among 6 accused arrested, 2 are receivers of stolen property and have been booked under 317 BNS.

 

Samba police remains committed to safety and security of citizens and their property.
