Srinagar, October 26: Dr. Owais Ahmed, Commissioner, Srinagar Municipal Corporation (SMC), chaired a comprehensive review meeting today focusing on all centrally sponsored schemes (CSS), Capex projects, and other major initiatives within the Corporation. This detailed evaluation aimed to assess project performance, address challenges, and ensure efficient implementation of initiatives benefiting the citizens of Srinagar.

The meeting was attended by Joint Commissioners, Joint Commissioner Works, Superintending Engineer Drainage Circle SMC, Executive Engineers from Left/Right River Works Division, Electric, Mechanical, PHE, City Roads, S&DII, CDC & MCD, Divisional Forest Officer SMC, Chief Revenue Officer, Estates Officer, Technical Officer to the Commissioner, Chief Sanitation Officer, PPO/AAO SMC, S.O. Planning SMC, CFO SSCL, and Executive Engineers from SSCL.

Throughout the review, the Commissioner engaged with officials from each division to gather insights and feedback on ongoing schemes and projects. The aim is to streamline processes, optimize resource utilization, and strengthen collaboration across the Corporation.

The Commissioner underscored the need for transparency and accountability in all operations, emphasizing that this review marks a strategic step towards meeting SMC’s objectives.
