*October 25:* “`In the loving memory of police martyrs and to give salutation to them who have sacrificed their lives for the motherland, Police in Bandipora organised a debate competition at NM Higher Secondary School Kaloosa Bandipora on the topic ‘Role of police in nation building.’
On the occasion SSP Bandipora Shri Harmeet Singh Mehta-JKPS, DySP Hqrs Bandipora, DySP DAR, DySP PC Bandipora, SHO PS Bandipora, Principal NM Higher secondary school Kaloosa, teachers and students participated.
On the occasion, large number of students presented their views/ thoughts on the topic. The participants highlighted various positive roles played by police in society be it law enforcement or controlling of various social crimes, besides highlighted the contribution of police martyrs who laid their lives in ensuring a peaceful atmosphere for future generations.
SSP Bandipora in his address to the gathering said that the role of police in today’s society is multidimensional and J&K police is one of the most professional police force in the country to fulfil the expectations of the society. He further said that speedy modernization is happening in police organisation with time to make it more & more professional and people friendly. The winners & participants were awarded with trophies and certificates.“`
