SRINAGAR, OCTOBER 24: Several deputations of PHE Workers Welfare Associations (Daily Wagers Wing) of Kashmir province, today called on Minister for Jal Shakti, Forest, Ecology & Environment and Tribal Affairs, Javed Ahmed Rana and apprised him of their issues and concerns.

A deputation led by President of PHE Workers Welfare Association and other workers projected the burning issues of daily wage/ temporary employees of the department.

The major demands raised before the Minister included regularization of all the daily wagers after seven or more than seven years of service, fixation of minimum wage to each category of daily wagers of PHE and adjustment of dependents of deceased daily wagers on humanitarian ground and clearance of pending wages of the workers.

Javed Rana listened to the issues of the PHE workers and assured them that all their genuine grievances would be addressed on priority basis. He reiterated the commitment of Omar Abdullah led Government to work for welfare of common masses including employees of all classes.
