Qazigund, Oct 20: A motorcyclist lost his life after being hit by an unidentified vehicle. The incident occurred when a motorcycle without a registration number was struck by an unknown vehicle at Churat Qazigund in Kulgam District, which fled the scene immediately after the collision.
The deceased has been identified as Hazik Amin Wani, son of Mohammad Amin Wani, a resident of Check Wagund, Qazigund, sustained critical injuries. Local residents and the Qazigund police promptly responded to the situation, rushing him to the Emergency Hospital Qazigund. Due to the severity of his injuries, Hazik was referred to GMC Anantnag where he declared brought dead.
Police have launched an investigation to trace the vehicle involved in the accident. Further details are awaited.
