REASI, OCTOBER 17: Deputy Commissioner Reasi, Vishesh Mahajan today chaired a meeting of District Level Task Force Cell to discuss Rate Revision of Minor Minerals (Finished/Raw).

After a thorough discussion with the stakeholders including miners, crushers and officials, the DC asked them to submit a Cost Analysis report for further deliberations. Responding to issues raised by stakeholders, he emphasised the need for strenuous measures to control illegal mining particularly alongside riverbeds.

Emphasizing zero tolerance against illegal mining, he asked for proper demarcation of mining blocks and crushers with mandatory provision of weight machines & CCTVs. He instructed officials to seal the stone crushers operating without NOC. Highlighting the environmental concerns, he instructed them to cover the material and avoid overloading of Trucks.

The DC, who is also chairman of District Level Task Force cell, asked enforcement departments to demonstrate added dedication and sincerity keeping in check on illegal mining.

ADDC Sukhdev Samyal, ACR Anshumali Sharma , ASP Iftikhar , DFO Sunil Manhas, DMO Mohammad Imtiaz, DIO Info Ujwal Sambyal and other officials attended the meeting.
