This special Intensive Cleanliness drive will be conducted under the supervision of Senior officials at station areas, workshops, major coaching depots, freight depots, EMU/MEMU Sheds

Northern Railway will launch a 3 days’ intensive cleanliness drive under Special Campaign 4.0 from 17th October 2024 to 19th October 2024. This intensive cleanliness drive will cover the station areas, workshops and depots. Shri A.K.Verma, General Manager, Northern Railway has directed the officials to include all major stations, workshops, depots and ensure that the drive is comprehensive in nature and impactful. The cleanliness drive will proceed under the supervision of nominated Senior Administrative Grade/Junior Administrative Grade officer.

During the drive, inspection of stations will be done by nominated officers covering the station area including the approach road to stations, platforms, offices, toilets, retiring rooms, tracks under station limit area, foot over bridges, food stalls etc. A detailed inspection note identifying 10 worst locations shall be prepared with details like expected quantity of garbage that will be cleared, expected quantity of scrap that will be disposed off, expected space that will be cleared etc. This cleanliness drive will be an inclusive exercise spanning across all departments of Northern Railway.
