As per local news chanel on Wednesday afternoon, Mirchal was greeted with a warm reception as he reached Karnah, with supporters playing drums and showering him with flower garlands. A convoy of vehicles accompanied him from Sadhna to Karnah, turning the event into a celebratory rally. Addressing a large gathering in the public park, he expressed gratitude to his supporters, stating, “I am not a leader for the people, but a servant. I will work for the development of Karnah.”

Mirchal vowed to prioritize infrastructure development and improvements in the health and education sectors. He dismissed accusations of regional politics, emphasizing that his victory was based on support from voters across the entire constituency, from Shalora in Kupwara to the last village of Simari.

Later in the evening, Mirchal visited his hometown of Gabra, where well-wishers gathered to congratulate him. A former legislator under the PDP, Mirchal joined the NC in 2019 and contested this election with their ticket, securing a resounding victory in the Karnah Assembly constituency.
