SHOPIAN, OCTOBER 03: The District Election Office, Shopian today conducted a day long training programme for Counting Supervisors, Counting Assistants and Micro-Observers at Mini Secretariat Shopian to acquaint them for conducting counting of votes smoothly on October, 08 as per ECI guidelines.
District Election Officer (DEO) Shopian, Mohammad Shahid Saleem Dar presided and witnessed one training session provided by RO Shopian and Master Trainers.
District Level Master Trainers provided detailed training sessions to prepare skilled and competent manpower for the counting of votes for two Assembly Constituencies of Zainapora and Shopian.
During the sessions of day long training, the participants were provided procedural know how for the smooth execution of the counting process including practical demonstration of handling of EVM, counting procedures, etc
Returning Officer, Shakoor Ahmad while delivering his session, stressed on strictly following the rules and procedures of Election Commission of India (ECI) during the entire process.
DEO addressed the staff and called for strict adherence to the rules and procedures during the counting process while performing the duties with integrity and fairness. He also emphasized on maintaining discipline and to upheld complete privacy on the day of counting.
