JAMMU, SEPTEMBER 30: The Information Department today organized a heartfelt farewell ceremony for Suram Chand Sharma, Special Secretary Information at Civil Secretariat here, who retired from service today after an illustrious service career.
The farewell event was graced by Rehana Batul, Secretary, Information Department, along with Pawan Singh Rathore, Special Secretary, Din Mohammad, Deputy Secretary, and several other senior officers and officials of the department.
The dignitaries lauded the significant contributions made by Suram Chand Sharma during his tenure, recognizing his dedication and service to the department and the people of Jammu & Kashmir.
Suram Chand Sharma JKAS 2001 batch joined as Dist. Information Officer Kathua and served the DIPR for nearly 12 years in different capacities like Deputy Director PR and Joint Director Information. Besides, he also served as ACD in the Rural Development Department, GM DIC in a few Districts, Additional DC Samba, Joint Director Youth Services and Sports and superannuated as Special Secretary in the Information Department.
In her address, Secretary Rehana Batul praised Mr. Sharma for his dedication and extensive knowledge in both print and electronic media. She wished him a healthy and fulfilling post-retirement life, noting that his vast experience would continue to inspire many in the department.
The event concluded with colleagues and peers sharing warm memories and wishing him well in his future endeavors.
