JAMMU, SEPTEMBER 26: An enthralling mega cultural SVEEP event was held today at Central Park, Jammu University, aimed at encouraging voter participation for the upcoming October 1 elections in the district.
The event featured musical performances by popular singers Juhi Singh, Vanshika Jaral and Punjabi artist Sangram Hanjra, who energised the crowd, particularly the youth, urging them to actively engage in the voting process.
Present at the event were General Observer Abhinav Chandra, District Election Officer Sachin Kumar Vaishya, ADDC Sher Singh, ADC Shishir Gupta, SVEEP Nodal Officer Dr. Vikas Sharma, along with several other district officers.
DEO Sachin Kumar Vaishya emphasised the importance of casting votes and called on eligible voters to participate in large numbers, particularly the first time voters in the electoral process. He also reassured voters of the Election Commission of India assured facilities at polling stations.
General Observer Abhinav Chandra highlighted the significance of the upcoming election, and called upon everyone to participate.
To further inspire voter turnout, a SVEEP election song was also released during the event.
