BARAMULLA, SEPTEMBER 21:The segregation process has successfully completed, and the commissioning of Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs) for Assembly Constituencies 07-Sopore and 08-Rafiabad has commenced at SKUAST Wadoora, Sopore.
The Returning Officers indicated that the commissioning process is expected to be completed before 9 PM today, ensuring timely preparation for the upcoming elections.
General Observer for 07-Sopore and 08-Rafiabad Assembly Constituency, Killu Siva Kumar Naidu visited the site to oversee the commissioning process and assess the arrangements. He emphasized the importance of transparency and efficiency in the electoral process, ensuring that all protocols are followed rigorously.
Returning Officer for 07-Sopore, Shabir Ahmad Raina, and Returning Officer for 08-Rafiabad, Shabir Ahmad Hakak, provided detailed insights into the preparations, including logistics, security measures, and staff training.
