JAMMU, SEPTEMBER 19: The second randomisation of Electronic Voting Machines was successfully conducted today here at the district headquarters Jammu. The process was held in the presence of representatives from the political parties, ensuring transparency and fairness in the lead-up to the forthcoming Assembly elections.
District Election Officer, Sachin Kumar Vaishya oversaw the randomization in presence of General Observers, D. Amoy Kumar, Gopala Krishan K., Abhinav Chandra, Monica Malik, D. Sajith Babu and Priyanka Das. The procedure was executed under the technical supervision of Director IT (DIO NIC Jammu) and Nodal Officer ETPBS, Sanjeev Kapoor.
A total of 2406 Ballot Units, 2242 Control Units, and 2242 Voter Verifiable Paper Audit Trails (VVPATs) were randomised which included 164 supplementary Ballot Units as well.
This randomisation covered all 1497 polling stations spread across the 11 Assembly constituencies of the district: 72-Bishnah, 73-Suchetgarh, 74-RS Pura Jammu South, 75-Bahu, 76-Jammu East, 77-Nagrota, 78-Jammu West, 79-Jammu North, 80-Marh, 81-Akhnoor and 82-Chhamb.
Returning Officers and Nodal Officers were also present at the occasion. The entire process was conducted as per ECI guidelines.
