BARAMULLA, SEPTEMBER 19: Ahead of upcoming Assembly Elections-2024 scheduled on 1st October, 2024 in the district, District Election Officer (DEO) Baramulla, Minga Sherpa today conducted a comprehensive inspection of several designated polling stations, including model polling stations within the 13-Pattan Assembly Constituency (AC).
The inspection was aimed to ensure that Assured Minimum Facilities (AMF) are in place at all polling stations.
The DEO was accompanied by Returning Officer for the 13-Pattan AC, Sub Divisional Police Officer Pattan and other concerned officers.
The inspection focused on verifying that essential infrastructure is in place to provide a smooth and accessible voting experience for all voters. Facilities reviewed included drinking water, functional sanitation units, proper lighting, adequate seating arrangements, ramps for persons with disabilities, and clear signage for voter guidance.
Minga Sherpa emphasized the importance of creating an inclusive and convenient environment for voter, particularly elderly and differently-abled. He expressed satisfaction with the current arrangements.
