PM Modi’s Kashmir Visit: Multi-Tier Security in Place, Vigilance on High Alert: IGP Kashmir V. K. Birdi

Srinagar, 16 Sep :As Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set visit Srinagar on 19th September, IGP Kashmir V. K. Birdi assured that the police have implemented multi-tier security measures and are on high alert.

While talking to ANI, IGP Kashmir V. K. Birdi on PM Modi’s Kashmir visit said, “VVIP movements occur during the elections and J&K police have made all preparations for the multi-tier security as per the Standard Operation Procedure.”

He further added, “We will also keep issuing traffic-related advisory, to ensure that these types of programmes will go in smoothly.”

On the security front, Birdi stated, “The security and vigilance are in a high state of alertness… We have our strategies to foil any kind of attempts to disrupt peace.” (DSN)
