ANANTNAG, SEPTEMBER 14: A series of activities under the Systematic Voter Education and Electoral Participation (SVEEP) programme were conducted today across Anantnag district.
Among others, programmes were held at Government Degree College Qazigund, Girls Higher Secondary School Kadipora, Girls Middle School Hardushichen Dialgam and Government Higher Secondary School Arwani.
These initiatives were aimed at enhancing voter awareness and fostering greater electoral participation. The programmes included awareness sessions, informative talks, workshops, cultural events, plantation drives etc.
In addition, across the district, thousands of voter slips have been distributed to the voters through Booth Level Officers (BLOs) and the same continued today in the door to door mode.
The benefit of such activities is to increase voter awareness and participation in the upcoming elections on 18th of September.
