KUPWARA, SEPTEMBER 13: In order to review the poll preparations for conduct of the General Elections to J&K Legislative Assembly 2024, the Election Observers for district Kupwara today convened a meeting of concerned officers here at Meeting Hall of D.C Office Complex Kupwara.
The Election Observers which include General Observer 1-Karnah, Prakash Bindu; General Observer 2-Trehgam & 3-Kupwara, P. Hemalatha; General Observer 4-Lolab, Tshewang Gyachho Bhutia; General Observer 5-Handwara & 6-Langate, Pankaj K Panday; Expenditure Observer, 1-Karnah, 2-Trehgam, 3-Kupwara, Gargi Umrao; Expenditure Observer 4-Lolab, 5-Handwara,6-Langate, Sunil Kisan Agawane and Police Observer of all 6 ACs, Mayur Patil were present in the meeting.
District Election Officer Kupwara, Ms. Ayushi Sudan; SSP Kupwara, Ghulam Jeelani; SP Handwara, Ifroz Ahmad, besides, Nodal Officers of MCMC & MCC, Returning Officers, District Level Nodal Officers, and AROs attended the meeting.
On the occasion, the DEO Kupwara briefed the meeting about the basic District Profile and various measures put in place by the District Administration for smooth and fair conduct of the elections in the district. She informed the meeting about various arrangements including deployment of FSTs, VSTs, establishment of MCMC, Election Control Room, DCRC, SVEEP, AMFs, Home Voting and other facilities ensured at ground for hassle free electoral process. She informed that Assured Minimum Facilities are available in all 618 polling stations to facilitate the voters across the district.
Later, the Election Observers interacted with all the concerned officers present in the meeting and got detailed feedback from them regarding preparations in their respective jurisdictions. The officers also briefed the Observers about their progress including Permissions provided to political parties, MCMC violations, MCC Violations, SVEEP activities and Migrant Voters etc.
The Observers also provided their valuable suggestions to the officers about minor improvements in various processes for smooth conduct of the election.
