BANDIPORA, SEPTEMBER 13: In a vibrant display of civic engagement, a balloon release ceremony was held today at the mini secretariat Bandipora as part of the Systematic Voters’ Education and Electoral Participation (SVEEP) programme.
The initiative aims to raise voter awareness and encourage electoral participation among the public.
District Election Officer (DEO) Manzoor Ahmad Qadri led the ceremony. He was accompanied by Deputy DEO, Mohammad Rafeeq Bhat and the officials of SVEEP Cell Bandipora.
The event featured balloons adorned with various voter awareness messages, symbolizing the significance of each vote in shaping the democratic process. The colorful balloons were released into the sky to draw public attention and serve as a visual reminder of the upcoming elections besides emphasising the importance of every citizen’s vote.
The event underscores the commitment of the election authorities to raise awareness about the importance of voting and encourage active electoral participation among residents.
