SAMBA, SEPTEMBER 12: As part of the preparations for the upcoming Jammu & Kashmir Legislative Assembly Elections 2024, General Observers Vishwashree Boga and C.G. Rajini Kaanthan, along with Police Observer Ajay Singh on Thursday visited the District Election Office Samba to review the district’s election preparedness.
During their visit, the District Election Officer (DEO) Rajesh Sharma and SSP Vinay Kumar briefed the observers on various election-related arrangements, including security measures, polling station readiness, and other logistic plans.
The Observers also interacted with the Nodal Officers present at the meeting, discussing their roles and responsibilities in ensuring the smooth conduct of the elections.
In addition to the briefing, the Observers inspected the Strong Room located within the Complex, where election materials will be securely stored. They reviewed the security arrangements and expressed satisfaction with the preparations, urging continued vigilance and strict adherence to protocols to ensure a seamless election process.
This visit was a crucial part of the pre-election review to ensure all necessary measures are in place for conducting free, fair and transparent elections in the district.
