BANDIPORA, SEPTEMBER 11: The District Bandipora Tennis Ball Cricket Championship 2024, encompassing both junior and senior categories for boys and girls, concluded today at Govt. Boys Higher Secondary School Nadihal Bandipora.
The event held under SVEEP was organized by the Bandipora District Tennis Ball Cricket Association.
The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from 26 teams over two days, celebrating local talent, fostering sportsmanship among the youth and raising awareness regarding civic responsibilities.
Speaking on the occasion, Padmashree Faisal Ali Dar, known for his outstanding contributions to sports and youth development, expressed his enthusiasm for the role sports can play in shaping a positive future for the youth. He emphasized the vital role of young voters in the democratic process, particularly first-time voters, urging them to understand the power of their vote and actively participate in the upcoming elections.
Faisal Ali Dar highlighted the importance of using such platforms, not only to foster sportsmanship but also to spread awareness about civic responsibilities, ensuring that the youth remain engaged in both physical and societal development.
He said that the successful conclusion of the championship sets the stage for the selected teams to advance to the upcoming state championship, promising further opportunities for showcasing talent and sportsmanship.
