SHOPIAN, AUGUST 10: The District Election Officer (DEO) Shopian, Mohammad Shahid Saleem Dar today held a meeting with the representatives of political parties and contesting candidates of the district at Mini Secretariat, here in order to discuss some vital election issues.
The meeting was attended by representatives of numerous political parties and independent contesting candidates of both Zainapora and Shopian ACs including from JKNC, JKPDP, JKAP, etc.
The DEO Shopian, during his interaction, sought their positive role and cooperation with the district administration in conducting smooth and peaceful elections.
He requested them to exhibit the highest standards of conduct in the electoral process and strictly adhere to the norms especially on the model code of conduct.
Ethical campaigning for ensuring peaceful elections is the responsibility of all stakeholders, recalled DEO while concluding the meeting.
The meeting was also attended by the Nodal Officer, MCC (ADC), Dy DEO and DIO Shopian.
