RAMNAGAR, SEPTEMBER 09: Voter awareness rally was organized under the guidance of District Election Officer Udhampur Saloni Rai and under SVEEP initiative at Higher Secondary School Rasligadheran, AC 62-Ramnagar, with the aim of encouraging voter participation ahead of the upcoming elections on October 1, 2024.
A vibrant cultural programme followed the enthusiastic rally, sparked a powerful message among the voters. The programme was organised as per the schedule chalked out by SDM Ramnagar Rafiq Ahmad Jaral.
About 600 participants from across different sections of society including students were made aware about the right to vote.
Principal GHSS Rasligadheran flagged off the rally, which made its way through the village road before culminating back at the school.
The event was a vibrant display of voters’ engagement, featuring cultural performances, skits and motivational speeches that highlighted the importance of voting in a democracy.
Jagan Nath, the School Principal, spoke on the critical role that each vote plays in shaping the future of the nation.
Zonal Education Officer Dudu, Ishwer Dass, emphasized that every vote is equal, regardless of background, and encouraged everyone to exercise their right to vote.
Nodal Officer SVEEP, AC 62-Ramnagar, Rakesh Kumar, urged students to take the message of ethical voting into their communities. He also spoke about the significance of SVEEP in making the electoral process accessible, easy, and transparent for all, ensuring inclusive participation.
