KISHTWAR, SEPTEMBER 07: In preparation for the upcoming Assembly Elections, District Election Officer (DEO) Rajesh Kumar Shavan today reviewed the Transport Plan and visited the polling vehicle dispatch sites to ensure a smooth and hassle-free conduct of the Assembly Election scheduled on 18th September 2024 (Phase- 1st) in the District.
During the visit to polling vehicle dispatch sites at FCI Store Kuleed and Vehicle Trail Ground near the Helipad, he was accompanied by Dy. DEO Kishtwar (48-Inderwal), Idress Lone; RO 50 Padder- Nagseni, Dr. Amit Kumar; Addl SP Kishtwar; Pawan Sharma; ARTO Mohd Saleem Manhas; Tehsildar Kishtwar, Nirbhay Sharma; XEN JPDCL, XEN Jal Shakti, and AO DC Office Kishtwar,EO Municipal Council Kishtwar besides concerned district officers.
ARTO Kishtwar presented a roadmap for the smooth movement of poll vehicles, informing that 429 polling parties will be dispatched across the district for the Election on September 18, 2024.
Polling parties for tough terrain areas like Marwah and Warwan will be dispatched well in advance.
The DEO directed concerned officers to ensure necessary provisions and arrangements, including Public Address System, power supply/lightening, water supply, Tentage, toilet facilities and Security measures at poll vehicle dispatch sites before September 10, 2024
He emphasized the need for coordinated efforts to ensure a smooth and hassle-free dispatch of polling parties during the Assembly Election 2024.
