Karnah Kupwara: To provide quality and moral education to children in border and underprivileged areas, renowned journalist Ashfaq Saeed took over the management of New Light Public Model School in Chitrakoot, Karnah, a year and a half ago. The school was on the brink of closure due to the challenges posed by COVID-19. However, thanks to Ashfaq Saeed’s efforts, the school now has 130 students enrolled. When Ashfaq Saeed took over the school’s management two years ago, there were only 27 students.
Today, the school has become a well-known name in the Tangdhar block of Karnah, with qualified teachers available to educate the children and a strong emphasis on moral education. Additionally, the school offers a three-kanal playground for children to play, well-equipped classrooms, and digital learning facilities for nursery classes. The school ground also provides all the necessary equipment for children’s play.
