Kupwara, August 31: Today, Shri Ghulam Jeelani-JKPS officially assumed the charge as Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Kupwara. The outgoing SSP, Sh. Shobhit Saksena-IPS, along with senior police officers of the district, extended a warm welcome to the incoming officer at the District Police Headquarters.
Upon his arrival, Sh. Ghulam Jeelani-JKPS was honored with a ceremonial guard of honor. Following this, a formal handover of charge took place between Sh. Shobhit Saksena-IPS and Sh. Ghulam Jeelani-JKPS, marking the official transition of leadership.
After assuming charge, Sh. Ghulam Jeelani-JKPS, accompanied Sh. Shobhit Saksena-IPS, participated in a warm send-off ceremony for the outgoing SSP highlighted the mutual respect and between the officers.
Later in the day, Sh. Ghulam Jeelani-JKPS held an introductory meeting with the officers of the district in his office chamber, laying the groundwork for continued cooperation and commitment to the safety and security of the Kupwara district.(BAN)
