RAMBAN, AUGUST 28: As part of the ongoing voter awareness efforts, a series of events were held here today under the aegis of SVEEP (Systematic Voters’ Education and Electoral Participation) program.
A mega event was held at Government Higher Secondary School, Chamalwas in the 55-Banihal constituency.
The initiative, held under the overall supervision of District Election Officer (DEO), Baseer-Ul-Haq Chaudhary, aims to empower voters, particularly in areas with historically low voter turnout, and to encourage active participation in the democratic process.
The event was organized by a team comprising Assistant Nodal Officer Manjeet Singh, Abdul Hamid, Suraj Parkash (Trainer), and SVEEP Nodal Officer 55-Banihal, Jamshed Ahmed Khan, under the supervision of District Nodal Officer SVEEP Bikram Singh. The SVEEP team from AC-55 Banihal also played a key role in the program, contributing to the collective effort to educate and engage voters.
The program saw a huge participation of prominent citizens, women, and students, all showing interest in the electoral process. The district administration focused on encouraging voter participation in areas that have traditionally seen low turnout, urging all eligible citizens to vote in the upcoming elections.
