August 28:“`Police in Kulgam arrests 02 drivers and seized 02 vehicles for their involvement in illegal extraction and transportation of minerals.
A police party led by IC PP Mirbazar along with a team of geology and mining department Kulgam seized 2 vehicles (Dumpers) & arrested 2 drivers involved in illegal extraction/ transportation of minerals at Manigam Crossing.
Accordingly, a case vide FIR No 208/2024 under relevant sections of law stands registered at Police Station Qazigund and investigation has been initiated.
Persons found indulging in illegal mining activities shall be dealt as per law. Community members are requested to share information regarding the crimes in their neighbourhood with their concerned police units.“`
