Kishtwar August 24: The Department of Youth Services and Sports J&K’s Kabaddi Tournament for all age groups (AAG) Boys stated on Saturday at the Futsal Ground, Government Degree College here.
The tournament was inaugurated by the Deputy Commissioner Kishtwar, Rajesh Kumar Shavan. In his address, District Development Commissioner highlighted the significance of the sports event in promoting physical fitness, teamwork, and discipline among the youth. He commended the Department of Youth Services & Sports J&K for organizing the tournament, which provides a platform for young players from various districts to showcase their skills and compete at Divsional level.
“Sports is not just about competition but it is about building character, resilience, and a sense of community” he added. This tournament reflects dedication of the Department in nurturing the potential of our young athletes and preparing them for future challenges, he further remarked.
The Inter-District Division Level Kabaddi Tournament 2024 will see teams from multiple districts competing over the course of several days.
