Two centres set up to provide comprehensive training to polling staff in the District
SHOPIAN, AUGUST 24: In order to equip the polling staff with the necessary knowledge and skills to conduct the electoral process effectively during the upcoming General Assembly Elections- 2024, the District Administration Shopian to kick-started the training programme for the required staff at two identified centres.
The Additional District Development Commissioner (ADDC) Shopian, Dr. Nasir Ahmed Lone presided over the inaugural session of the training programme, organised for Polling parties at Mini Secretariat, Shopian and GDC Shopian.
Employees of various departments, designated as PO, P1 and P2 were today provided training by specialist DLMTs including Irfan Ahmed and Bilal Ahmed.
ADDC while chairing a session, exhorted upon polling parties to take ample benefits of the specially tailored training sessions for the smooth conduct of elections.
Nodal Officer Training, Manzoor Ahmad; RO Shopian, Shakoor Ahmad Dar; Dy.DEO, Jahanger Ahmad also conducted training sessions.
The polling parties were sensitised about their specific role in the election process and given theoretical knowledge, demonstration of EVM/ VVPAT operation and maintenance of different sets of documents/ forms.
