Assesses arrangements at Collection/ Distribution centre, function of RO’s Headquarter
BUDGAM, AUGUST 24: The District Election Officer (DEO), Budgam, Akshay Labroo today visited distribution and collection centre Magam established for the smooth conduct of elections in Beerwah Assembly Constituency (AC) of the district.
The DEO along with SSP Budgam, Nikhil Borkar visited the DCRC centre at Boys Higher Secondary School Magam and reviewed the functioning of Returning Officer (RO), Headquarter, established at Townhall, Beerwah.
He took stock of arrangements being put in place at these facilities for the ensuing elections.
On the occasion, the DEO assessed security arrangements including CCTV installation, safety measures and other water, electricity supply besides other required arrangements at these facilities.
He called for round the clock surveillance and security of all election related material and machinery to be kept at the centre during the 2nd phase of Election.
Speaking on the occasion, the DEO maintained that all guidelines of Election Commission of India shall be implemented in letter and spirit.
Among others, SDM, CPO, SDPO, AROs, ExEns of various sectors and other concerned also accompanied the DEO.
