REASI, AUGUST 24: District Election Officer (DEO) Reasi, Vishesh Mahajan chaired a meeting with senior district and police officers here today to review the law and order situation in the district in preparation for the J&K Assembly Elections 2024.
Speaking at the meeting, DEO Mahajan emphasized the critical need for maintaining close coordination between the district administration and the police to ensure peace and security throughout the electoral process. He highlighted the importance of heightened vigilance, particularly in sensitive areas, to prevent any incidents that could disrupt the elections.
In addition, the DEO called for conducting robust exercise on identification of accommodation arrangements for all additional CAPF companies to be deployed for the smooth conduct of elections across all assembly segments of the district.
SSP Reasi Gourav Sikarwar, ADDC Sukhdev Singh Samayal, Addl. SP Reasi Iftekhar Ahmed, Addl. SP Katra Vipin Chandra, Dy. DEO Rakesh Kumar, RO-56 Mazahir Hussain Shah, RO-57 Anshumali Sharma, RO-58 Piyush Dhotra and Other Officers attended the meeting.
