Ganderbal, August 21 (KB): Massive fire devastated a band saw mill in the Tulmulla area of Ganderbal District, causing significant damage and heavy losses.

An official from the Fire & Emergency Services told news agency Kashmir Bulletin that, police, fire tenders, and locals are on the scene, working to control the fire.

The mill, jointly owned by Mohd Akbar Baba and Farooq Ahmad Bhat, both residents of Tulmulla, Ganderbal, was completely gutted in the blaze, he said.

The official confirmed that no casualties have been reported, but the extent of the damage is still being assessed.

An investigation into the cause of the fire is currently underway, official added. (KB)
