Poonch, 18 Aug: Poonch Deputy Commissioner Poonch, Vikas Kundal IAS on Sunday paid visit to District Hospital Poonch to take stock of health care facilities being provided to patients. He was accompanied with Additional Deputy Commissioner Poonch Tahir Mustafa Malik, CMO Poonch, Dr. Zulafkar Ahmed, Medical Superintendent, Dr. Nusrat Bhatti.

Deputy Commissioner visited Emergency block, Jan Aushadi Kendra, SNCU, Surgical ,Medical wards, ICU ,Oxygen generation plant,Indoor Pharmacy, and issued on spot direction to Medical Superintendent.

He also interacted with all the consultants, Doctors working in hospital and asked them to provide best Medical services to patient in District Hospital keeping in mind the Distance travelled by refferal cases to GMC Rajouri & other higher institution.

During his meeting with the health officials, he sought details on the number of patients getting treated at the district and sub district hospitals, number of beds available and also details of the doctors and para medical staff available at these hospitals.

Deputy Commissioner showed satisfaction on the services being provided & asked to have a more friendly attitude of doctors & Paramedics towards patient during their treatment in the hospital.
Besides the visit of different sections, Deputy Commissioner also took stock of construction work of 50 Beded critical Care Block.

Emphasising the need for maintaining cleanliness in the hospital, he directed senior health officials to conduct daily visits to wards to confirm that the patients were getting the required treatment. They should also hear the grievances of the patients, if any, pertaining to the non-availability of requisite treatment and address them immediately.
