The new facility will enable dairy farmers to sell their milk directly to the center, eliminating the need for intermediaries and ensuring they receive fair prices for their produce.

The Deputy Commissioner said this is a momentous occasion for the people of Mendhar. The Bulk Milk Collection Centre will not only provide a reliable market for our local dairy farmers but also pave the way for the ‘White Revolution’ in the region.

During the inaugural day, the milk collection was carried out from 20 milk cooperative societies at the BMC Mendhar.

The Deputy Commissioner commended the efforts of the Animal Husbandry Department, Jammu and Kashmir Milk Producers Cooperative Limited (JKMPCL), and the local milk cooperative societies for their diligence in completing the project in a short time.
