RAMBAN, AUGUST 09: Bashir Ahmed Wani, a resident of Panchayat Gundadalkot-A, Block Banihal, had been living in a dilapidated hut with his family for years. The hut was prone to landslides and floods, putting their lives at risk. Despite his efforts, Bashir couldn’t afford to build a new house due to financial constraints.

Bashir’s life took a turn for the better when he was selected as a beneficiary under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana – Gramin (PMAY-G) scheme. With the financial assistance and technical support from the implementing agency, Bashir constructed a safe and secure home.

The PMAY-G scheme has not only provided Bashir with a safe home but also improved his overall quality of life. His children can now study in a peaceful environment, and his wife can manage the household without worrying about their safety.

Bashir’s success story is a testament to the impact of PMAY-G in transforming lives. It has given him a sense of pride and ownership, and he is now eager to contribute to his community’s development.
