Mandi In a significant move towards promoting cleanliness and environmental awareness, the Zonal Education Officer (ZEO) Mandi, Anwar Khan, successfully organized a Cleanliness Drive and Swachta Awareness Rally in Village Jalian. This event was a key part of the ongoing Swachta Pakhwada activities, aimed at fostering a sense of responsibility and cleanliness among the community.
The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from 80 students and 6 dedicated staff members from the Girls Middle School Jalian . Under the supervision of ZEO Anwar Khan and the Incharge Headmaster of Girls Middle School Jalian Mushtaq Khan, the participants embarked on a mission to clean and beautify several important locations in the village.
The areas targeted during the cleanliness drive included:
A significant community space where the participants ensured thorough cleaning and removal of debris.
A revered religious site that received special attention to maintain its sanctity and cleanliness.
A popular recreational area where students and staff worked together to enhance its natural beauty. Ensuring that the surrounding community and school vicinity were spotless and pleasant for residents and visitors alike.
Armed with brooms and cleaning tools, officials and students swept the designated areas, demonstrating a hands-on approach to maintaining a clean environment. The rally, a key highlight of the event, saw participants marching from Girls Middle School Jalian to Eco Park and then back to the school. This procession was a visual representation of the community’s commitment to Swachta(cleanliness).
At Eco Park Mandi, ZEO Anwar Khan administered the Swachta Pledge to all participants, reaffirming their dedication to maintaining hygiene and cleanliness in their daily lives. The pledge underscored the importance of individual and collective efforts in building a cleaner and healthier community.
During the event, several notable figures interacted with the students, sharing valuable insights and encouragement. Emphasized the role of youth in driving the Swachta movement. Highlighted the environmental and health benefits of maintaining cleanliness. Discussed the cultural and social significance of cleanliness in the community.
