SRINAGAR, AUGUST 06: As part of the Swachhata Pakhwada campaign, the Srinagar Municipal Corporation (SMC) has organized a series of initiatives to engage students and raise awareness about the importance of cleanliness and hygiene.

The SMC has initiated cleanliness competitions among educational institutions in Srinagar to encourage students to actively participate in activities that promote a clean and hygienic environment. These competitions aim to instill a sense of responsibility and pride in students for maintaining cleanliness in their schools and communities.

In addition to the competitions, the SMC is conducting workshops on hygiene for students at S.K Park. These workshops are designed to educate students on the significance of hygiene practices and provide them with practical tips to incorporate good hygiene habits into their daily routines.

Fostering a culture of cleanliness and good hygiene practices is essential for the well-being of the community, and through these competitions and workshops the aim is to educate and empower the youth to become ambassadors of cleanliness in Srinagar.

The SMC’s initiatives are aligned with the goals of the Swachhata Pakhwada Campaign, a National initiative aimed at promoting cleanliness and hygiene across the country.
